As your constituent, I am writing to you in support of the people of Burma, who are currently suffering unspeakable injustices at the hands of their military oppressors. It is imperative that the United States act now by imposing sanctions on the thugs running the Burmese government and freezing Burmese assets in the United States. Please act quickly, as did the U.S. Senate with bill S1182, by passing the Burma Freedom Act (HR2330) as soon as possible in order to show Burma's junta State Peace and Development Council that the United States will not tolerate their blatant disrespect for human rights and democracy.
