Patricia Willis

Patricia Willis

Patricia K. Willis is an independent scholar/activist. She has a doctorate in Women's Studies from the State University of New York at Albany. Her research interests have centered around women, labor, and image creation; international aspects of women's feminism; and contemporary women in eastern North Carolina as historical actors and storytellers.

She is the president and a founding member of her local chapter of the National Organization for Women, and is the co-chair of the National Women's Studies Association Social Justice Education Task Force. She is currently finishing a book about airline companies' creation of the stewardess image as a sexualized servant.
