• The Freedom From Religion Foundation Annual Essay Competition (for current college students and college-bound high school students) at http://www.ffrf.org/essay/.

• The Humanist Society of New Mexico High School Essay Contest (open to all New Mexico high school juniors and seniors) at http://nm.humanists.net/.

There have been and may be other such contests.
