Bob Bhaerman is the education coordinator for the Kochhar Humanist Education Center. He is a former elementary school teacher, college instructor in the areas of curriculum development and the social foundations of education, and associate dean of research. From 1998 to 2004, he served as coordinator of school-based service-learning in Learn and Serve America at the Corporation for National and Community Service. More recently, Bhaerman developed four manuals on service-learning and senior/culminating projects for Educational Service District 112 in Vancouver, Washington. He received his PhD in education from Rutgers University.
Pritpal Singh Kochhar is the founder of the Kochhar Humanist Education Center. He is the owner of PSK, Inc., a full service real estate firm involved in the acquisition, development, and management of primarily residential property in New York City. He has previously worked at Citicorp Investment Bank and Goldman, Sachs & Company. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a M.S. in Statistics, Operations Research from the Indian Statistical Institute and a MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. He is also a founding member of the Sierra Club India Advisory Council and the board member of the Sikh Coalition.
Roy Speckhardt is the executive director of the American Humanist Association where he is actively raising the profile of Humanism. Speckhardt regularly provides a Humanist perspective on progressive political issues and his commentary frequently appears in print and other media. He holds an MBA and a BA in Sociology. Speckhardt serves as a board member of the Humanist Institute and is an advisory board member of the Secular Student Alliance and the Women's Law & Public Policy Fellowship Program. He currently resides in Silver Spring, Maryland with his partner, Charlene Gomes, and their little girls, Johanna and Riley.
Maggie Ardiente is the director of development at the American Humanist Association, where she coordinates the AHA's fundraising programs and serves as editor of the AHA's membership newsletter, Free Mind. She also teaches "Humanism 101" classes at the Mary and Lloyd Morain Humanist Center in Washington DC. She graduated with a B.S. in sociology and second major in religion from James Madison University and served as Vice President of the JMU Freethinkers, a campus group for atheists, agnostics, and humanists. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Secular Student Alliance.
