How You Can Support Humanism

Become a member of the American Humanist Association! Further humanism by increasing our numbers and strengthening our voice.

Membership with the AHA includes a one-year subscription to the Humanist (6 issues) and the Free Mind newsletter (4 issues). Members also receive discounts to conferences and other special events. New members receive "Humanism as the Next Step" by Lloyd and Mary Morain as a special bonus.

The AHA is the oldest, largest and only democratically structured humanist organization in the United States. As a voting member of the organization, you will have a say in the future direction of the humanist movement! Join now!

Other ways to support humanism:

Your donation to the AHA will advance humanist education and scholarship, protect the separation of church and state, promote humanist issues directly to our nation's leading policymakers, propel humanist grassroots advocacy and lobbying, and increase humanist visibility through national advertising and online communications. Make a donation now.

Become a monthly giver and sustain the humanist movement! Please be sure you select “Recurring Gift” on the donation form.

Your employer may double or even triple your gifts to the AHA! Find out more from your company’s human resources department and contact Director of Development Maggie Ardiente at mardiente@americanhumanist.org or 1(800) 837-3792 if you need any additional information or assistance processing the forms.

Make a gift to humanism in memory of a friend or loved one. Let us know whom you are honoring with your gift on our memorial gift page, and we will send his or her family a note to let them know.

Leave a legacy for humanism and the generations ahead with your planned gift. A variety of options are available, including bequests and charitable annuities, and estate planning assistance is free to members of the Honor Roll of the AHA. See our Planned Giving page for more information, or contact us at bequests@americanhumanist.org or 1(800) 837-3792.

Attention Federal Employees! The American Humanist Association is now a part of the Combined Federal Campaign. Now you can support humanist outreach and activism through the CFC – just make sure to mark our CFC number of 19492 on your pledge form.

Please remember to check the box to include your name, mailing address, and email address with the donation, so that we can apply your CFC contributions toward your AHA membership.

This fall, look for the American Humanist Association under listed under the Human Care Charities of America in the Combined Federal Campaign.
