Tip of my hat to the "embedded" humanist
(Re: What I Learned About the Religious Right, Humanist Network News, Sept. 30, 2009.)
Congratulations to Clayton Whitt for his superb piece of journalism on the Religious Right "pep rally". It is most important that we know as best as we can those by which political disasters occur. Clayton should be an example to humanists everywhere and that includes my own backyard in Quebec.

White Lies?
(Re: Humanist Network News Podcast #42: Unscientific America, Sept. 23, 3009.)
I wanted to add my two cents: why is it that we should tell white lies to our children (when necessary and it can be), but not to adults? I would consider something like telling a creationist that they should believe in evolution, without giving them the evidence, a form of lying. But I think it is a white lie. What gives?

Thanks for supporting Albany rock music scene
(Re: Humanist Network News Podcast #42: Unscientific America, Sept. 23, 3009.)
Thanks for recognizing Albany local music in your podcast. I am the bassist for Gracie's Paris (www.myspace.com/graciesparis), and supporting local music is important to me. I have been involved in the humanist movement for a few years and I am a member of the Secular Student Alliance. I believe it is important to recognize the link between knowledge, entertainment, and music, particularly on the local level. My props to you! Continue doing what you do!
